Help with PickleRecord
Email support@tjnai.ai and a person will answer. There is no ticket system and no bot — PickleRecord is made by one small studio in North Carolina.
Frequently asked
Does it work without an Apple Watch?
Yes. The iPhone app is complete on its own. The watch adds wrist scoring and swing counting.
Does it call the score out during play?
No. PickleRecord is not a live scorekeeper — it does not track serving rotation or announce the score. You log the result after each game.
How accurate is the swing count?
It is an honest estimate. Swings are read from wrist motion, and ball handling or arm movement between points can register as swings, so it runs slightly high. Treat it as a measure of how much you played.
My watch swing count seems too high or too low.
Make sure the watch is snug on your paddle-hand wrist and that swing tracking is toggled on when you start the session. Very short sessions and heavily-modified paddle grips both reduce accuracy.
My watch session did not sync to my iPhone.
Open the iPhone app with both devices nearby, awake, and not locked; WatchConnectivity delivers queued sessions when the app is foregrounded. If it still has not arrived after a minute, email us — nothing is lost, it is queued on the watch.
How do I export my data?
It is a Pro feature: Settings › Export CSV gives you your full game history as a spreadsheet. Free or Pro, your data always lives on your device and is never locked in — Pro just adds the one-tap export on top.
How do I manage or cancel Pro?
On your iPhone: Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions › PickleRecord. Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so cancellation happens there rather than in the app. Pro Lifetime is a one-time purchase and has nothing to cancel.
I bought Pro and it is not showing up.
Settings › Restore Purchases in the app. If that does not work, email support@tjnai.ai with the date of purchase and we will sort it out.
Is my data backed up?
Your matches live on your device and are included in your normal encrypted iPhone backup. There is no cloud copy, because there is no server — which is also why we cannot recover data from a device you no longer have. If you have Pro, export a CSV periodically if that worries you.
Do you have an Android version?
No. PickleRecord is built specifically for iPhone and Apple Watch, and an Android version is not planned.
Still stuck?
Email support@tjnai.ai. Tell us your iOS version and what happened — that is usually enough.
