PickleRecord Privacy Policy
Effective July 27, 2026
What PickleRecord stores — on your device only
- Sessions and games — session type, scores, results, swing counts, optional notes, and an optional court name you type in.
- Wrist motion — during a session, the watch app reads motion sensors (acceleration, rotation, orientation) to count your swings. The readings are analyzed live on the watch and discarded when the session ends — only the resulting swing counts are kept.
- Profile — an optional display name, tagline, and photo you choose, used only to render your shareable player card.
- Preferences — settings such as game target, appearance, and dominant wrist.
PickleRecord does not collect your location. It has no login and creates no account. All of the above lives in the app's private storage on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and syncs between those two devices only via Apple's device-to-device Watch Connectivity — never through the internet.
Apple Health
With your permission, the watch app saves your session to Apple Health as a pickleball workout so you get Activity ring credit. PickleRecord only writes workouts; it does not read any Health data. Health data is managed by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy, and you can revoke access at any time in Settings.
Purchases
PickleRecord Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. PickleRecord never sees your payment details, and keeps no purchase records of its own — your entitlement is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit.
Sharing and exports
Every way data leaves the app is a button you press: sharing a player or session card image, or exporting your game history as a CSV file. Each uses the standard iOS share sheet, and you choose where it goes. PickleRecord uploads nothing on its own.
Deleting your data
You can delete sessions and games at any time inside the app (Settings → Manage Data). Deletions are permanent — PickleRecord keeps no copies anywhere. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Workouts saved to Apple Health are yours to manage in the Health app.
Analytics, tracking, and third parties
None. PickleRecord contains no analytics, no crash reporters, no advertising SDKs, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party code. It makes no network requests to us — we don't operate any servers.
Children
PickleRecord is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If a future version of PickleRecord changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated here before that version ships, with a new effective date.
